Kolmiokuvion ohjeen löysin tuosta Mary Jane Mucklestonen kirjasta 150 Scandinavian Motifs (linkki vie The Book Deposituryn sivulle, josta ostin kirjan).
I made mittens for the first time in a long time. The last ones I did, were before Christmas. My boyfriend ordered mittens to go with his yellow spring jacket (yes, here in Finland we need mittens in March, end though this post is published in April). I was glad to make these, because he says he has enough socks and for a EU size 47 foot it takes a while to make socks. I ordered Drops Karisma from Tapio's store in No. 52 yellow and 56 chocolate brown. I fell in love with the yarn while making the Gathering stripes sweater. I used about 60 grams of the brown and about 30 grams of the yellow yarn.
I found the triangle pattern from Mary Jane Mucklestone's book 150 Scandinavian Motifs (the link will take you to The Book Depository, where I bought the book). I made the mittens with 48 stitches and 3,5mm don's and they fit a 6ft 4" guy. The thing I like about mittens versus socks is, that these knit up fairly quickly. These took me two days.
